We've used this exact bee vacuum ourselves and rented it out to beekeepers since 2020 — across hundreds of cutouts, this is the one we keep coming back to. If you're tired of tangled extension cords, a heavy shop-vac setup, weak suction that lets bees escape, or piles of dead bees at the end of a removal, this fixes all four at once.

Also available to rent from our store if you want to try it before buying, or only need it occasionally.

Shipping note: We cannot ship this vacuum by air, internationally, or to Alaska, Hawaii, or Puerto Rico. It ships by UPS or FedEx ground only — no PO boxes.

What Makes This Different From Other Bee Vacuums

We've run bucket-head vacs, Colorado-style vacs, and shop-vac-and-hive-body setups over the years. This one solved the problems all of those share:

  • No cords, no compromise: Backpack-style with a rechargeable battery built into the bucket head — do a cutout anywhere, including remote locations with no power.
  • Two full cutouts per charge: The onboard battery recharges quickly between jobs with the included charger.
  • Suction you control mid-cutout: A remote lets you dial suction from off to full without taking off the backpack — gentle enough to pull bees off comb without killing them, strong enough to keep them cool during transport.
  • Quiet motor: You're not running a shop vac inside a client's living room.
  • Fits any beekeeper: Adjustable backpack straps.

What's Included

  • Vacuum head (battery, motor, and control board built in)
  • Charger
  • Bee bucket with wire cluster cage
  • Bee barrier basket (keeps bees off the motor while allowing airflow)
  • 7 ft removable hose
  • Long and short nozzles
  • Backpack straps
  • Retractable remote

How It Works

The large bucket chamber holds bees safely on a wire cage designed for clustering, with a screen that keeps them away from the motor while allowing full airflow. The 7-foot removable hose with interchangeable nozzles gets into tight spaces most vacuums can't reach — and the adjustable door slides shut once the hose is off, keeping bees contained while still allowing airflow.

Transferring Bees to a Hive

Unscrew the vacuum head from the bucket to expose the mesh screen, give the bucket a gentle tap to settle the bees to the bottom, remove the screen, and dump them straight into a hive body or nuc box. No re-catching, no fuss.
